On outdoor learning day, Caterpillar class embraced taking our lessons outside. We played ball games and skittles in the playground, made pretend fires and some lovely art with leaves, explored maths and numbers on natural materials, built relationships with our peers and even made ‘hot chocolate’ in the sensory tray. We love the outdoors in early years and this day was a great way of immersing ourselves in it.Â
caterpillar class love our music and movement sessions. We listen intently to the music, think about how to move our bodies and how we can use instruments to make noises along to the songs.
Caterpillar class love exploring books and stories with adults or independently. We have dedicated time each day where we share our favourites texts and we are developing some great skills and a love of reading!
Caterpillar class have settled really well into school life and are loving exploring their classroom. We play confidently with toys and investigate new items. Our adults are very proud of us!
Caterpillar class have loved our sessions on the outdoor learning field so far this year. We are learning to move around confidently outdoors and to build out understanding of natural objects. We have so much fun!
