At Delamere School, we are committed to supporting the emotional health and wellbeing of our Staff and our pupils. Staff wellbeing at Delamere School will be considered in all major decisions that we make, and we understand that staff wellbeing has a direct impact on performance and attendance.
Our vision, our values and our rights underpin all of our policies and the education we deliver.
Article 3 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child states that:
The best interests of the child must be a top priority in all decisions that affect children”
Our Staff and Pupil Mental Health & Wellbeing policy has been created to keep the children and our staff at Delamere School safe and happy.
We have supportive and caring ethos and our approach that is respectful and kind, where each individual and contribution is valued.
At our school we know that everyone experiences life challenges that can make us vulnerable and at times, anyone may need additional emotional support. We take the view that positive mental health is everybody’s business and that we all have a role to play.
For World Mental Health Day, We marked this occasion by doing lots of activities which help our mental health. We have been busy doing all the things which make us happy and relaxed. We have enjoyed having a pamper, making big bubbles, baking cakes, art activities, yoga/mindfulness and being in the great outdoors and being physical.
