Bespoke training is also created and delivered throughout the year. For example, e-safety, Reading for Pleasure and Seating.
Information about training and support sessions will be sent through Parent mail.
A 3 session course, held over 3 weeks to offer a safe space for parent/carers to express emotions and feelings post diagnosis. To offer practical ideas and adaptions to support living with a child with Autism.
Feedback from the first course was very positive with comments including:
“Very informational. I am much relieved to know and see parents who share the same or similar feelings / problems. I called a parent last week and had a chat with her. This is a result of this training”
A 5 week course for parent/carers of children in year 5. Everything you need to know about your child’s move to high school. This workshop runs in the summer term.
A 12 week group for parent/cares new to Delamere school. An informal opportunity for parents to meet other parents, chat through subjects including sleep, EHCP’s communication, eating, getting out and about and health. Special Guests include school nurse, Learning Disability Nursing Team and the SEND local officer.
