In our fine motor session, Woodpecker class have been making fruit kebabs. We used our pincer grip to select the grapes and blueberries and cut up our own cucumber and tomatoes. Yummy!
Woodpeckers had their first Music session of the year with Beth this week. They were amazing, learning rhythm and when to start and stop. We had a few xylophone solo performances and two Superhero dance performances. Every child joined in and enjoyed themselves. We can’t wait for next week’s session.
If you find the need to access any home learning we hope this helps you. Currently, we are looking at several engaging activities in subjects such as maths and art. We are always trying to be resourceful and innovative when utilising anything we can find from around the school or home.
We have supported the pupils to make some fantastic school / home-made weighing scales. Have a look at the link to see them being made and possibly try to make some for yourselves at home. They support the concepts of heavy and light really well and also allow the pupils to practice the process of filling vessels to make them empty and full in a fun and highly dynamic way.
In our art sessions we have been looking at how to use digital tools and media to create fantastic art pieces. The site below has a host of fascinating activities that you can do at home. There is also the option to upload your child’s art work to display on the site.
Below are some useful links to home learning activities.
