Cultural Diversity Day

10 July All day

On Thursday, 10th July, we will be celebrating Cultural Diversity Day at school.

Our Rights Respecting Squad has suggested that all children come to school wearing their favourite clothes, something that helps express who they are and what is important to them. They have also asked if children could bring in an object, piece of artwork or artefact that represents their culture, family traditions or something meaningful about themselves.

If there is a food that reflects your child’s culture or family traditions, we would love for them to bring some in to share with their classmates, if possible.

Throughout the day, the children will enjoy stories from around the world, learn about different family and community celebrations, and take part in a range of arts and crafts activities that celebrate diversity.

We would also love to involve our families in the day. If you would like to read a story, share traditional clothing, talk about your culture or family traditions, or contribute in any other way, please contact your child’s class teacher or Amy Burt at aburt@delamere.trafford.sch.uk.

Thank you for your support. We look forward to celebrating the rich diversity of our school community together.

Kind regards,

Amy
