Job Title: Personal Support Worker : Salary Scale: Band 2 – Points 4-5  £25,185-£25,583 pro rata, term time only.

Post 1: 10 hours per week 11.30am-1.30pm Actual salary £5,975-£6,070  Permanent Post

Post 2: 20 hours per week: 4 hours per day – 11.30am-1.30pm plus an additional 2 hours per day to be agreed around these core hours. Actual salary £11,798-£11,984. Permanent Post  

Start Date: September 2026

We are an Outstanding Special School seeking to appoint Personal Support Workers to join our thriving school community The purpose of the role is to support & supervise pupils over the lunchtime period.  The role includes feeding, personal care and play support.  As a Personal Support Worker at Delamere School you may be required to train to provide for children with complex medical needs, physical disabilities, limited spoken language or challenging behaviour. Working hours for both positions are Monday to Friday term time only (plus an additional 10 hours across the year for continuous professional development, to be agreed with notice).  Post 1:  2hrs per day 11.30am-1.30pm. Post 2: 4 hours per day 11.30am-1.30pm plus an additional 2hrs per day to be agreed around the core hours (currently this is 9.30am-1.30pm but may change depending on needs of the school).
