Butterfly PE Session
During our P.E. sessions Butterfly class have been learning yoga. The children listened to calming music and followed instructions to perform different poses to develop their gross motor skills. They also took some time at the end of the session to lie down and relax with a soft toy of their choice. Well done, Butterflies.
Butterfly class have been learning about Chinese New Year, we explored a tuff tray with coloured rice and other items related to Chinese New Year while listening to Chinese music. In sensory cooking we tasted noodles, spring rolls and prawn crackers. We even made our own fortune cookies from scratch, when they were cooled, we chose a positive quote to go inside them. Some of us even ate the cookies.
Butterfly class have been taking part in weekly rebound therapy sessions. The children have been amazing and have grown in confidence over the weeks, from being scared to climb on to now performing a range of skills and making requests for more activities.
The children in butterfly class have been getting into the spirit of Halloween, doing lots of different activities. We explored creepy pasta with squishy spiders and eyeballs in, we created Halloween pictures on our windows by sticking different materials to sticky paper. We made a life-sized mummy, made our own scratch picture masks and created our own skeleton pictures.
